Janathon #21 – I tried very hard

Have I mentioned how much I enjoyed Juneathon?

This morning’s planned interval session turned into a very cautious one-mile token Janathon effort due to the lethal/potentially embarassing slipperiness of the pavements. I did try running on the road, but that was just as slidy and I realised that if I did fall, I would get run over as well.

In the end, I did fall over about 100m from home – a graceful slide onto my left knee and a Vauxhall Corsa. I’m hopeful for more success tomorrow.

Everytime I hear Junathon I get an image of blue skies, I can hear the birds tweeting and feel the warmth of the sun on my back… How did I manage to miss that one and run Janathon instead?! Good work on those pavements to only fall the once… hope you’ve recovered from it! 🙂

A graceful slide? How did you manage that? I nearly managed to pitch myself head over heels by sneezing and believe me there was nothing graceful about that…
I hope you recover well ready for tomorrow’s run.

Hope the knee is on the mend, and hope that you have purchased the biggest box of fererro rocher to reward yourself with on Feb 1st!
